MUSKWA PROPELLED

Muskwa's first STEM program, Muskwa Propelled saw our organization compete in the NASA  Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Invention Challenge in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Despite the fact that Muskwa's was the only team out of 70 not supported by a school, we reached the finals in 2013 and 2014.

Our first creation was the catapult Bath Tissue Issue, created to throw a toilet paper roll as far as possible and unravel it as much as possible, per the contest challenge.

Next came the Charlotte Pipe's Thundering Double Bogey in 2013, a "hemispherical accelerator" built to roll a golf ball up a pyramid into a small hole in the shortest time possible.

In 2014, Muskwa built the Rolling Thunder, a complicated machine that, per contest rules, used three different propulsion methods to roll a ball five meters in exactly 20 seconds, actuating an 80-decible sound at the end.
